One of the questions I submitted for Kemp and Georgia AG Chris Carr at Erick Erickson's Gathering was about this issue. The question was not asked. I think we should reach out to Kemp and Carr on this. I will do so. The public needs to hear.
Someone or a lot of someones better keep a Hawkeye on the Democrats(communists) as well in November. What's that? Harris is behind by 6,000 votes? Oh, wait, we just found these bins full of ballots in the back of a car. Let's count 'em! What's that you say, Harris is still behind by 1200 votes? Hey, we can allow those votes that were cast by dead people. Does that give us enough? No? Well, maybe if we count all the ones that were cast by illegal aliens. Yes, now that puts Harris comfortably ahead by 2100 votes. Ok, time to certify!
Chris, I can criticize the inner workings of a polling place without having to work there. That's what makes this America. Besides, I know you haven't ever been critical of anything to which you haven't volunteered your time and effort.
I've certainly been critical of stuff I didn't have a hand running.
That said, IF you were actually trained on how polls actually run, how votes are counted, etc., you wouldn't be talking about bins full of ballots "suddenly" discovered or counting votes cast by "illegal aliens". There are a TON of safeguards and checks built into modern election systems that prevent this kind of stuff from happening. For example, for the 6,000 ballots "suddenly" found, are there also 6,000 applications for ballots that were found as well? Do any of those 6,000 applications (if you find them) overlap with any voting records recorded by electronic pollbooks and paper trails for any voters that may have voted before?
I'm just saying that - speaking as an actual election worker - there are people saying a lot of stuff like you've said above that is pretty dumb and not at all how the system works, which why I suggested actually getting trained IF you actually worry about this. I'll wager some good money that if you made a list of concerns you had before training and compared it to the list you'd make afterwards, that second list is going to be a LOT shorter and a good deal more technical than the one you started with before learning how the system ACTUALLY works.
There is a least one case I can think of that meets Cameron’s description but it goes back to 2008. Ballots discovered a month after Election Day helped Al Franken beat incumbent Republican Norm Coleman in a very suspicious election.
The difference here is that those ballots were found in a sealed ballot carrier - it should have been a simple matter to verify the number on those seals and to compare the number of ballots in the sealed box with the applications for ballot. (It's actually a shocking oversight that those poll workers DID NOT reconcile their ballots cast with those application. I check that those numbers line up every 15 minutes when I'm working a polling station.)
The MN case isn't one that looks good for poll workers, but it's also a FAR cry from 6k ballots being discovered in someone's trunk. It's also worth noting that Coleman's lawyers were there keeping an eye on things when those 37 ballots were counted - folks crying "fraud" seem to fail to recognize that there are lawyers for both sides and each candidate involved and monitoring things at every level.
Having voted Republican for 30 years, I find your conflating Democrats and communists ridiculous. Having read the 1956 Eisenhower Republican Party platform, I see just how very far to the right the Republican Party has moved and in moving further right, the Democratic Party has moved further right, too. The Democratic Party today more reflects the 1956 Republican Party . If only MAGA meant going back to that platform.
Excerpt:
While jealously guarding the free institutions and preserving the principles upon which our Republic was founded and has flourished, the purpose of the Republican Party is to establish and maintain a peaceful world and build at home a dynamic prosperity in which every citizen fairly shares.
We shall ever build anew, that our children and their children, without distinction because of race, creed or color, may know the blessings of our free land.
We believe that basic to governmental integrity are unimpeachable ethical standards and irreproachable personal conduct by all people in government. We shall continue our insistence on honesty as an indispensable requirement of public service. We shall continue to root out corruption whenever and wherever it appears.
We are proud of and shall continue our far-reaching and sound advances in matters of basic human needs—expansion of social security—broadened coverage in unemployment insurance —improved housing—and better health protection for all our people. We are determined that our government remain warmly responsive to the urgent social and economic problems of our people."
Astute observation, Bill. I'm not an Eisenhower Republican, nor am I a Roosevelt/Biden/Harris Democrat (communist). I'm a Christian Constitutional Conservative.
Call yourself whatever tickles your fancy Cameron, but labeling democrats as communists is pure fantasy of the mind my friend. Wrapping yourself in some kind of purity cocoon while insulting others is hardly a "Christian" tenet. Just saying pal, pretending is one thing, living it is something else.
I have this strange sense David that when you look in the mirror you don't see a Cameron-type-Christian-Constitutional-Conservative looking back at you?
Oh, and just what is my "type" Bill? You don't like the fact that I want to adhere to the founding father's vision of America as much as possible? Maybe it's because I don't subscribe to the false claim of separation of church and state? Or is it that I am too critical of the modern politician and their games of bait and switch? Or maybe you don't like it when I'm over the target when I criticize one of your faves? So, what could it be?
Thanks David, this aligns with everything i have read and heard. This country has enjoyed free and fair elections for a very long time (well, maybe there was an issue back in Mayor Daley's day), but across the country, republican's and democrats have repeatedly told us the system works.
The only reason this crap is hitting the fan is because of one man. "He alone caused it." Congrats donald, finally something we can hang our hat on from your efforts to make America great again. Sadly, you ruined the country for the vast majority of voters. Pathetic; soothing your ego was hardly reason.
BTW Steve thanks for asking the question at the Gathering. I'm disappointed they didn't answer it. That said, i read in EE's email this morning some shocking revelations about trump. Yikes.
The guys can explain Erick Erickson's positions better than i can. They used to be on the same platform. I subscribed to his emails but never joined (protected by paywall) but i still get 1 or 2 partial emails a day. Most often i just junk mail them but of late he has been frustrated with trump's ability to stay on message. He has both a radio program and i suspect a website (?). Do a search and it may come up. Sorry i can't be more helpful. Dave or Steve know far better than me about Erick.
Recounting the votes more than twice is a waste of time and money. If there is real concern about the legitimacy of the vote, up-front controls are required to ensure all voters and all ballots are legitimate. In the case of extremely close vote counts, it should be possible to trace ballots back to the voter rolls.

Cameron, volunteer and get trained to work the polls this election and be part of the solution instead of an idle bystander.

Democrats have definitely been guilty in the past, but it doesn’t look like they’ll need to manufacture votes this year.
But that’s another reason that this is a bad rule. It can be abused by either party. A county like Fulton could refuse to certify a Republican win.
Democrats have controlled Georgia and might again some day. Neither party seems to think the opposition will ever be a majority again.

Brilliantly stated SG. My guess is our friend Cameron will pay little attention though.

Tell me, would calling a whole group of politicians and scribes a "brood of vipers who are full of dead men's bones" be a Christian tenet Bill?
"Brood of vipers who are full of dead men's bones," which scripture verse is this?
Well, if you can't see where this country is headed, from BOTH sides, I can't help you.
Ironically, that’s how I describe myself as well.
I have this strange sense David that when you look in the mirror you don't see a Cameron-type-Christian-Constitutional-Conservative looking back at you?

Very ironic, considering I would never dream of voting for Harris, who is a communist.
Yes, you are a Conservative - which does not mean you are conservative.
Grits, thank you but I don't want to live in your dream world.
Republicans at the state level have a glorious and long history of being undemocratic. No shortage of examples of gerrymandering.
MAGA republicans merely take “batshit crazy” to new heights.
It’s the old horseshoe. Morons at both ends. And nothing catering to the middle. #sad.

Hey, Bill—can you share a link to the EE newsletter you’re referring? Is that available on SubStack?
