A lot of it comes down to ignorance and embracing simplistic political theories re: "oppressors vs oppressed", where because Israel is powerful means they are at fault. There's also the segment that views it as part of anti-imperialism/anti-Western effort, making them modern Cold Warriors.

There's so much to criticize Netanyahu, Likud, and previous Israeli governments regarding their policies and approach to Palestine over the last few decades and the current conflict of the last few weeks. Hopefully Bibi doesn't drag this out to prevent his needing to answer to the Israeli people for his failures.

I think he did. But I also think there was a schism in Israeli politics that made things difficult to govern. I think the current crisis will overwhelm and therefore solve the political schism. And I think Netanyahu is finished.

As usual, good comment, Steve. I had to look up Nick Fuentes. Do you really think most MAGAs tolerate white supremacists or have the media and democrats managed to change the definition of "Make America Great Again" to "support white supremacy"?

I remember Mazie Hirono managed to change "sexual preference" to a pejorative in a major on-line dictionary in less than two hours.

They do, to the same degree as leftists tolerate Hamas and their fellow travelers. Many don’t know but many who do refuse to call them out.

I suppose "tolerate" is my hang up. I'm pretty MAGA and do not mind calling out KKK, neo-Nazis and similar groups to the extent I have a voice. I will not seek out left wing websites to lambast them or take up arms against them.

I live in what would be considered a mostly red district and I also know and interact with many people from both sides of the political divide. As such, I have to say that I have yet to meet a single MAGA voter that is a white supremacist. In fact more than a handful of these MAGA voters are minorities. I think we need to be very careful about painting people with such a broad brush as doing so only promotes more division and suspicions. I have been following politics for most of my life and I have to say that in my opinion a lot of what is being taught and/or tolerated especially on our university campuses did not just start overnight with Trump's election in 2016.

Thanks Vicki. Let’s be clear on what was written/said and what was not said. The young leftists are not reacting to what most MAGA people, who are quiet and live their lives, say or think. They are reacting to very online fringe and caricatures painted by their own media, online influencers and school instructors.

My apologies if I misunderstood. I enjoy reading your articles as for the most part I do find them to be more balanced then many. I was mostly opining to Mr. Stinespring's question to you asking "Do you really think most MAGAs tolerate white supremacists" and your response that you thought they do. I believe that most people from all sides of the aisle will often times tolerate extreme fringes. Maybe where we might differ is that I think this behavior has been happening since long before Trump or MAGA arrived on the political scene. Either way, I appreciate and thank you for the expanded explanation.
