I haven't weighed in on the Qatari jet offered to Trump because I wanted to gather more information. Now that I have, Trump would be a fool to accept it. Of course, foolishness is not something Trump has been unfamiliar with in the past...
Stupid is to accept a “gift” like this from a gulf state that openly harbors and funds terrorists. The financial arithmetic is simply the moronic facepalm cherry on top.
But this being Trump and maga cultists, there is nothing too stupid…or corrupt…or unprincipled…for those folks.
The stilted bricks and mortar churches that have dotted the American scene for the past 300 years are going the way of the Dodo bird for all the reasons you described: Too much time and energy is spent on worshiping false gods that have little to do with the message of Jesus - False gods like we don’t consume alcohol, we don’t dance, we always wear suits to church, no praise music and the lifting of arms here, the sermon should only consist of the reading of the Bible, and on and on.
There is movement away from this outdated model that is evidenced by churches like Elevation Church in North Carolina with tens of thousands of viewers for the live 8:30am YouTube broadcast.
Excellent message, and I owe you an e-mail as soon as life quiets down enough for me to write it.

Powerful Steve. Thank you.
