Greg Bovino has been demoted and is getting sent home:
"Gregory Bovino has been removed from his role as Border Patrol 'commander at large' and will return to his former job in El Centro, California, where he is expected to retire soon, according to a DHS official and two people with knowledge of the change."
"Bovino’s sudden demotion is the clearest sign yet that the Trump administration is reconsidering its most aggressive tactics after the killing Saturday of 37-year-old Alex Pretti by Border Patrol agents under Bovino’s command."
Well, at least one person has chosen: Chris Madel, who is representing Jonathan Ross in the Renee Good case, has dropped out of the GOP primary campaign for MN Gov.
This weekend is clearly a seminal moment in all of our lives. There can be no mistake in what we all watched happen to Alex Pretti...and then the utter bullshit that poured forth from the administration.
Lies have become a way of life. Even the most craven trump supporter has to momentarily question their sanity. Yet, once it washes through and over them, they blissfully and blindly repeat the lies and condone it because Alex put himself in that position.
I've read dozens of articles, watched the video and heard the analysis. One thought struck me as i listened to the justification of trump et al. It was one that left me empty and sad for our country and where we have fallen to.
Go back to J-6, the onslaught and assault on our institution of government; the attacks on the Capital Police and efforts to get to the politicians. That was unquestionably far worse than anything Renee Good or Alex Pretti did in their lawlessness.
Imagine if those same capital defenders reacted like these hire goons and thugs did. The numbers of dead would be in the thousands. They didn't, one of the criminals, was shot dead. Rather than being "justifiably murdered," the police acted as trained professionals.
The net was trials and jail time for the criminals. Then trump pardoned them all and saw to it the family of the murdered woman was paid 5 million dollars. Now he banters about them all being paid reparations.
This is trump's America. This is where we are and what we have become.
Truly a seminal moment for anyone with a heart left beating as trump destroys the country so many of us love.
Thanks for writing this, it clarifies alot. Realy got me thinking about those fence sitters. What if that persuasion today comes from algorithms pushing radical stuff? A different kind of pressure.
I saw a great sign at one of the weekend protests (via social media):
I march today so that I don't have to be hiding someone in my attic next week.

Bovino reportedly pulled from MN, and possibly removed from his position with US Border Patrol.
Probably should read: I march today so I don't have to be hiding in an attic next week.
I probably butchered the quote.

This is worth a listen… even if you disagree with the host’s bias/leftism/whatevs, this is worth a listen.
