If you truly believe Trump is that big a threat you will vote for the D nominee no matter whether they are a tried and true centrist or an actual socialist. Dems are sick of being forced to vote for "the party". And it showed last election. That lead to Trump2 more than them not being a "big tent". Also the big issue will be Israel. Every day the genocide continues support for that country will mean you can't win the nomination.
The last election showed what happens when Dems don’t vote for the party.
Both sides have an Israel problem. I think a lot can change in a year or so, but Israel is not an 80-20 issue that Dems should focus on. It’s a divisive one.
If Democrats(Communists) are the sane and centrist party these days, then America might as well pack it in, because we are doomed. Of course, I have thought that for quite some time now...
Take a look at the two parties, and really ask "Who's acting like Communists?" Is it the Democrats that wish for typical social policies as seen in the rest of the developed world, or the GOP that is putting in a command economy?
Jesus said, "don't allow the left hand to know what the right hand is doing." He also scolded the Pharisees because they loved to stand in the market squares and brag about how much they do for the poor and widows. Therefore, as long as God knows what I do, and He knows my heart, it doesn't matter what anyone else says about it.
Maybe this will help explain it better. Each individual Christian is to give the 1st tenth of their earnings to a local church. This is called the tithe. Beyond that are called offerings, given out of the Christian's free will, or how his heart would direct him to give. These offerings are to go to those in need. Financial need, medical need, etc, etc. The only thing Jesus mentioned in terms of the government and how they dealt with the poor and downtrodden was for us to "give to Ceaser what was Ceaser's." In other words, pay our tributes, or taxes. But, Jesus made sure to also mention that we are to give to God what is God's, which is the FIRST tenth. Jesus put the onus on individual Christian's, not the government, to provide for the needs of the sick, the poor, the forgotten, the downtrodden in society. If a government wants to take up that responsibility, that is fine, as long as it is a thing that is voted upon, and a shared responsibility of the constituency. Further, when you look at the Constitution and the 10th amendment, those things would be the purview of state and local governments, not the federal government in any case.
Coming out as a democrat is somewhat like coming out as queer. Everyone already knows or strongly suspects that is the case. One of my cousins (in his late 50s) told his mother that he was gay and was marrying his companion, Gene. His mom responded that she had known he was a sissy since he was 10 years old.
Some symptoms of democrats coming out include spouting false narratives such as Republicans support Russia which is only a furtherance of the Russian hoax – a scheme that is becoming more unraveled every day. Other indicators include claiming Republicans are dictatorial and engage in unconstitutional activities when the truth is someone has to be in charge. It should be obvious that, when there are enough lawyers and politicians on each side of an issue, constitutionality will not be resolved until the Supremes rule on it. And that ruling is valid only until the makeup of the Court changes and the politicians in charge challenge it.
You are correct. I am not in that camp. But that's the way things are when lawfare is being waged on every issue. Even to the extent of lower courts attempting to prohibit congress and the executive branch eliminating funding for public broadcasting.
Someone does have to be in charge, but in a constitutional republic, that person should obey the law. If a Democrat did the same things Trump is doing, Republicans would be loading their rifles and talking about watering the tree of liberty.
Democrats are the more sane and centrist party these days.
I can't read the Forbes link but other polls indicate that about 40% view Russian relations as more positive than in the past but that Russia is not an ally. Public statements from the President do not indicate he is pro-Russian but that he does want to make a deal for peace.
Examples of "the same thing" would be helpful. Just because left-wing democrats take every Trump policy to court does not mean he is breaking the law. It only means they are obstructionists. The courts will eventually sort it out.

Neither party has anything to offer, hence my independent registration.
Very interesting how using social policy to help the sick and/or poor doesn't seem to count much for you, an avowed Christian.

The first part seems irrelevant. The second is as well because we're not talking about bragging, simply about policy.
So, as to your statement about what the parties have to offer - seems like you just choose to ignore that which they do.
And I think it matters greatly what is actually done,l: works and all that.

Funny, I never took you for being in the Living Document camp when it came to the Constitution.

A plurality of Republicans consider Russia “friendly.” More importantly, the president and party leader is pro -Russia.
