"...600,000 needless deaths in 10 months..." Well, double that and we have about as many "needless deaths" as we have in our own country through murdering babies. But, you're right, we can't say we are pro-life in either case, can we? The Bible tells us that "we will always have the poor with us." And yes, we are supposed to do what we can for them, but i just wonder if maybe those 70 million babies that have been destroyed since 1973 in America have exacerbated the problems we have in the world today vis-a-vis poverty, war, disease, etc..

I’m against abortion, so you’re preaching to the choir here. The flip side that I’ve mentioned before is that poor families need assistance to raise babies after they are brought into the world.

And the majority of those foreign deaths were post-born children.

As to the questiom, "Am I my brother's keeper?" 'keeper' has always brought to my mind "zoo keeper" or jailer. But the number of people that were claimed to have died seems excessive. And why is Africa, with plenty of arable land not able to feed its own population? It would be better to invest in modern farming, roads and rail transportation. No one looks at Africa and sees a good investment opportunity. China sends miners, and soldiers to guard them, but that is about all. And China will not be called an imperialist power, at least not for another hundred years. The "problem" of the marching Chinese has been solved all too completely by the CCP and their one child policy. We now have the problem of the starving Africans, and that line never ends either.
