Ron's a fool if he thinks that the VP job has any chance of being his. He brings nothing to the table, and has too much ambition of his own for Trump to place him ANYWHERE he expects total and unwavering loyalty, including the Cabinet.

I dare them to make DeSantis the VP pick: they'll instantly lose Florida's EC votes.

"The Electors shall meet in their respective States, and vote by Ballot for two Persons, of whom one at least shall not be an Inhabitant of the same State with themselves."

Makes sense. I still like DeSantis. Four more years of Biden/Harris might make Ron DeSantis or anyone not progressive a shoo-in come 2028.

Yeah, maybe "anyone" was a stretch. "Any reasonable nominee" would have been a better choice of words. Anyhow, I was primarily agreeing with your "same state" constitutional observation which would be violated by Loomer Gaetz.
