Regarding the polio vaccine - I saw a very interesting video over the weekend about its history. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-e6bjV-Wl4&t=5s

So, are you saying g RFK is not a good choice? Of course it was “ entirely transactional.” Trump brought him on to increase his voting base, but more important, he is giving him charge of a segment of government ( health) not the whole government! Are you praising McConnell’s and Thune’s RINO Savvy? They are both swamp creatures! McConnell’s opinions on vaccines? God forbid! I believe Trump has learned much but the Republican Congress may still sabotage his agenda. Americans voted for change but they still do not understand that they needed to throw out Republicans like McConnell and Thune. Congress might not give We the People what we’re hoping for but the last thing we need is Democrats blocking Trump. They offered us nothing but destruction.

Americans voted for change but not radical change. 49% was not a full-throated embrace of Trump.

Or more importantly: voted for change, without specifying what change they wanted.

Thank you David. Even so, radical change is what we need unless your political philosophy is “ progressive. ” if so, you are still progressing toward totalitarianism taking our country down. The country is now so far gone it needs a radical shift in course. Trump is not radical but at least he loves people and our form of government. Too bad the Congress is so corrupt.

Let's note the lack of specificity here: what specifically makes you think the country is "so far gone"?

I know all that. I am talking about the determined and purposeful censorship of textbooks, revisionist history, ideological, psychological, educational brainwashing of students that begins as soon as they start school and continues through past secondary education. I’m talking about the B.O. E.’s always and forever increased spending and commitment to left wing politicalisation of every subject including science and math. I’m talking about the pitiful performance of American public school students in comparison to many countries who spend far less money. The teacher’s union stronghold, etc. etc. I’m talking about decades of this and I am done because this forum is not designed for book writing.

Again, in no way are you being specific - e.g. are you talking about censoring/revising of say the history of slavery and racism in the US, or something else entirely?

You're saying "we have poor performance in comparison" yet do not dig into any root causes or suggested changes. It's "here's a problem" not "here's a problem, and here's ideas for a solution".

If you don't want to do so then that's your choice.

Not hyperbole. We disagree.

I am an educator. I know what is taught in schools.

I'm a parent, so I get to see what they're learning.

More importantly, you're not talking about any specific cause or change you want to make. For example: are you talking at all about how parents are not involved in their kids' education and are leaving it entirely to schools - while demanding their student be passed regardless? Are you addressing the variances in federal funding for students (for example, our school district gets $447 per student from the Feds - very low!).

Please: be specific. It allows us to actually dig into topics and discuss them far better than "Things are bad!", and into actual policy changes that are needed.

Far from the Constitution, Bill of rights and its intent. Gone academically, culturally, morally, etc. Our public schools do not even teach civics, geography, real history, basic math, etc. They are government schools teaching government propaganda.

That was some hyperbole, still a lack of specifics, and just factually incorrect re schools. Though importantly - that's a state/local decision on standards and implementation.
