"It’s almost like Biden’s best offramp was to leave office and hand the whole mess to Trump, which he’s doing. Perhaps the only player with a winning hand here, besides Putin, is Biden."

It would be karma for Trump having done the same to Biden with Afghanistan.

Afghanistan was occupied during the G.W. Bush administration. Bush left it for Omama who left it eight years later for Trump. Trump downsized USA forces in preparation for withdrawal. Biden was elected President and he or his handlers had total authority over the eventual botched withdrawal several months after Trump left office.

Biden measures to deter Putin in Ukraine with NATO was the correct measure. Endorsing a Korea style stalemate never felt right. We could have arrived at this point years ago with less loss of life.

I don’t see how Ukraine can agree to an end to hostilities without a security guarantee from NATO or at least the EU. Russia’s promises aren’t worth the paper they are written on. Without security guarantees the only thing that is certain is the Russians will be back for more under some bogus claim that the Ukrainians aren’t living up to their end of the bargain or NATO is threatening it.

You guys just don't think big enough?

How about this one for the king of "transactional" leadership and the kind of author for "The Art Of The Deal?" Seriously, consider this; trump steps in, gives Zelenskyy to Putin, Ukraine gets peace and trump gets trump Tower Moscow. But wait, there's more; Zelenskyy gets to enjoy the same fruits that Alexei Nalvany did before his unfortunate demise.

Best of all; trump gets to tell us all, "this was the biggest, greatest deal EVER. "

Win/win/win eh?

I am not sure how Trump could actually do that in practice unless we physically intervened on behalf of Moscow.

Thinking Biden’s Ukraine game-plan is less than perfect does not say that I believe Trump isolationist tendencies are better.

I know Jay, it's just important to remind voters that "elections have consequences." The next 4 years will give us more than our share of opportunities to remind the voters who liked his craziness of what they wanted by electing a man like trump.

Transactional indeed!

Look at the drama show Trump is churning, and he is not yet in office.
