I definitely agree that it is a good thing for us Americans to visit other countries and see how non-Americans live, as well as to talk to them. Sometimes it is too easy to not realize how good many of us have it here in our country, until we see people who don't have the things that Americans and people from other developed countries take for granted. The occasions in which I was fortunate to travel to economically underdeveloped countries and see poverty there first-hand, really helped me to have and show better gratitude for the blessings I have in my life.

That is wonderful that you and your family were able to have a much deserved family vacation to Jamaica. I've never been there before, but every Jamaican I've met here in our country are some of the friendliest, down to earth people I've ever met. Plus, I love Jamaican cuisine. I have a question for you David. When it came to getting that Covid-19 test necessary to come back to the US, did you schedule that in advance before you went to Jamaica, or did you schedule or get one first come first served after you arrived there? I'm planning to travel out of the country this August, and have been wondering about that required Covid-19 test, and when should I arrange for one.

Good to see you back!

Our hotel offered testing services at no cost if you stayed 3 nights. We scheduled the time when we checked in. The doctor was professional but very busy.

I couldn’t get an answer as to whether there were any recent positives from hotel guests.

Yes, Jamaican food is delicious!
