Sounds like I'd didn't miss much from last night's campaign speech. Nothing of substance, little/no talk of what he's doing to make American's lives better - just constant BS .
I watched the whole speech and yes, Trump has perfected the art of Democrat shaming, which they rightly deserve. Since they are fighting for open borders, retention of vile illegal criminals, hate America indoctrination, continued mutilation of children and the end of parental rights, etc., they are shameful traitors. You say Trump said a little but he said a lot. I’m surprised he could summarize all the accomplishments of his campaign promises in just one year while Democrats’ lack of class and decency was on full display.
I think you're mixing up the dudes looking for work at Home Depot and parents picking up their kids from school[1,2] with the pardoned J-6'ers[3,4] and members of ICE[5,6,7,8].
So, those 18-20 million illegals are innocently looking for work at home depot? I suppose they are churchgoing, pie-in-the-sky hotdogs and apple pie types who just want to live a peaceful life and retire to their front porches and rocking chairs, eh, Chris?
Some of them actually, indeed, are. And what of them? Pile them in with the filth because they happen to be from a country we deem beneath us. How American is that?
And some of them commit heinous crimes, or are you so willing to overlook that fact? What if it was your wife or daughter? Or any other member of your family? And don't give me that tired old saw that, well, even our own fellow citizens commit those same kinds of crimes. Yes, they do, and we must deal with that, but why do we need to allow 18-20 million others in to possibly add to the problem? And no, not all of those illegals are going to commit crimes, but do you know for a fact which ones will or which ones won't?
My counter to the argument is deportation. As long as you can sit in your comfortable home, without being affected by any dire outcomes, you have the luxury to criticize the other side.
And by the way, there is a process for letting in people from other countries we "deem beneath us," it's called the legal immigration process. If they want into our country, they can come in that way.
The legal immigration process has been shut down. 2026 is the final year there will be green card lottery under the Trump administration. No applications are being taken. The F-1 visa system has been largely dismantled because of accusations of DEI at colleges. Schools are scared to sponsor. The H1B system is in ruins, because it takes 9-12 months and if the beneficiary (the sponsored party) is out of the U.S., there is an additional $100,000 fee per person to bring them here paid by the sponsor (employer). It's far cheaper to open an overseas office. The agricultural temporary worker program, however, is just fine so we will have our lettuce, cane sugar, and other products. The Trump administration has taken hammer and tongs to the legal immigration system and turned legal immigrants into illegal aliens, then deported them with little notice. There is no good way for many people to immigrate to the U.S. It's no longer about illegal immigration, it's about immigration, period.
Who specifically is calling for open borders, or retention of criminal aliens (outside of their being forced to serve sentences for their crimes), or the "end of parental rights"?
The old Tippecanoe and Tyler Too slogan. Guess we can update that one to TrumpU and hillbilly too.
You Win the Internet today with that.

Did he really call voting a privilege?

"retention of vile illegal criminals"

Sounds like collective punishment and fearmongering to me.
And the reason you just call it an "old saw" is because you have no actually counter to the argument.
