Nice article David. I cannot imagine anyone who grew up with conservative credentials and beliefs can accept the crap we are seeing from the president. There is virtually nothing conservative about trump, everything he has done has been transactional. Every outcome has been about what has been in it for him. Sure he let Mitch pick judges, but the cost, the ultimate cost is way too many of them sold their soul to get what they wanted.
In 2016, when trump won, many of us asked; does character matter? The easy answer was, sure but trump's a fighter. Several said they didn't like his antics but felt it was worth it. Now as he has squeezed every ounce of humanity and integrity out of them, was it worth it?
The worst part of this charade is it has little to do with being president, but more about how much he can bleed from the rubes as he goes out the door. And of course, he refuses to accept the fact he is a loser. But alas, he is.
