"We need to believe in some things that transcend politics. COVID-19, and the new variants don’t care who you voted for, and the virus doesn’t care about your politics. The vaccines don’t care if you’re Black, white, Asian, Democrat or Republican, Christian, Muslim, Hindu or atheist. We are all in the same herd, and we all need each other to get vaccinated."

Well said. I wish everyone would think that way!!

I must say this first. If I ever saw Tucker Carlson and Alex Berenson(a notorious Covid truther) in person, I would have to muster every bit of self-restraint I have. People like them have done much to mainstream falsehoods about the virus and the vaccines, and put us in this predicament, with large numbers of Americans having chosen not to get the vaccine.

That Delta variant does concern me, and I think the sooner Americans who are currently unvaccinated get the vaccine, the sooner we can reach the critical herd immunity necessary to beat the more dangerous variants of Covid-19. I've plan to travel out of the country later this summer, as many countries have opened their borders to tourists. My concern is that the Delta and other, more lethal variants of Covid-19 could potentially upend all the progress made to return to a post-pandemic normal. The airline, restaurant, tourism/hospitality industry in particular are really depending on this economic recovery, with lots of jobs at stake. I would really hate to see all this get ruined because of those who don't get vaccinated. I'm glad that Vice President Harris is pulling the stops to encourage our more reluctant fellow Americans to get their vaccines. She deserves to be commended.

The best way we can show love for our country and love for our fellow Americans, is by doing the responsible thing and getting the vaccine.
