Buckled in and bracing for the worst. Praying continuously for divine intervention as I see that as more probable than any republican helping us to retain our constitution. I have completely stopped watching news other than a few minutes of local stuff. I am repulsed by their attempt to normalize anything trump does. Nothing about this feels normal. Why can’t Biden order the FBI to investigate his nominees? After all he is still president.
Well said David, but holding him accountable will never happen. More likely, they will just hold their noses and let trump be trump. Like Gym Jordan muttered: "this is what freedom looks like baby." Or some such foolishness.
Me, i've got the popcorn ready and gonna sit back and watch as the old orange-dyed fool makes a mockery of the country we love. Sorry, but elections have consequences.
January 6 convicts? What rock have you been under? The Democrat contrived insurrection needs to be rewritten in history as the FBI led tromp through the Capital to arrest as many Trump supporters as they could video, all of whom were nonviolent and unarmed! A big fraud that will be reversed.
In Mr. Trump's first term, he left hundreds of appointed positions unfilled. To me that meant the positions were unnecessary. Liberals and haters viewed it as being understaffed.
The question of course is whether said unfilled positions lead to increases in wait times for services/etc..., or not: if not, then not much of an issue. If yes, then it's a big issue - and the current talk about "DOGE" is not taking that into account at all.
Most wait times are for permission from the Feds to do something or to get free stuff or for other programs the central government should not be involved in.
The problem is that unless you actually change the law, then you have to actually wait for said permission - so if you just cut personnel, you increase that time, making things less efficient.
Pathetic attempt at a takedown. RFJ jr is on a mission to restore sanity to the agriculture and pharma legs of the government. His years of deep diving into these two corrupt segments if our corrupt bureaucracy equips him to restructure our food supply and pharmacology to the benefit of the citizens.
Matt Gaetz is a deep state target because of his unwillingnesdvto be bought by the corporatocracy. Like any government servant, you get in trouble for not succumbing to the corruption and telling the truth.
Are there some weak choices, sure. Rubio is a Neocon as are a few other choices. Neoconyhave never been right about anything. They are the loyal servants of the MIC. Time will tell if they are brought to heel and made it serve the citizens.
The lack of qualifications is subjective. At this point in the Repubic's dissolution, outsiders are the only hope IMHO. We will first have to hope Biden's (Blinkin's) idiotic decision to allow Ukraine to use Atacums doesn't trigger WW3... Again, the Neocon problem...
RFK Jr is a grifter and a nutjob. He was just pictured on Trump's plane eating McDonald's and drinking a Coke with high-fructose corn syrup in it. Removing high fructose corn syrup won't do anything: it's just the amount of calories we eat and our sedentary lifestyles.
However, if you wanted to actually reduce the amount of corn syrup used - remove the tariffs on sugar and the subsidies for corn. The market will take it from there, just as they've already started producing organic versions with sugar.
He has zero expertise on medicine, and the only experience he does have resulted in dozens of deaths in Guam.
If Matt Gaetz is innocent then release the House report: there's nothing to hide if it would exonerate him.
I agree on corn syrup. I haven't had a soft drink in years. It does remind me of being assigned a three-hour job in the early 1970s to check out a retaining wall located at Coke HQ on North Avenue in Atlanta. The wall was the back side of the syrup plant. The security required for admittance to the syrup plant was not much different than that for admittance to the protected area of a nuclear power plant. We gave Coke some recommendations for their engineers to deal with. The switch to corn syrup began in the mid 1970s. and was completed about 1980.
RFK Jr. does not seem to have suffered from his diet. We should all be as healthy as he is at 70. Tom Price is the only HHS secretary who was a physician. He was at one time a friend of mine, but I haven't seen him in 50 years. He resigned because Republican haters resented his use of private aircraft even though he offered reimbursement. They forgive all such behavior for democrats.
The Senate should take their advice and consent responsibilities seriously. If they need reports and bipartisan elections, they should get them. But all presidents and nominees should be held to the same standards.
He himself has stated he's on testosterone replacements and that he exercises only 35 minutes a day (nowhere near the amount needed to build and maintain his upper-body musculature).
However: the normal dosage of testosterone replacement theory is typically rather low and wouldn't provide said benefits. He's likely on a higher dosage than normal TRT, e.g. steroids.
I remain skeptical. 35 minutes a day might be sufficient for musculature. I vaguely remember being 70 and less than an hour a day worked pretty well for me except for waistline. I have never tried any type of steroids.

Trump has nominated Brendan Carr, author of the FCC chapter in Project 2025, to head the FCC.

A number were armed; many pled guilty; and those that did not had their days in court and were found guilty.
How many were armed 2 that I know of with concealed carry licenses, all legal.

Unfilled might be preferable to some of these appointments.

Maybe but most instances are not laws. They are regulations.

You are always pouring a cold shower on the MAGA parade. And I am good with that :)

The thing is is that ultimately - sugar is sugar. Whether it be cane sugar, beet sugar, or corn sugar - it's all still the same molecules.
The syrup plant, as in the concentrated Coca-Cola syrup, makes sense. Corn syrup I doubt had such security concerns.

He's on steroids, Curtis. He's not particularly healthy.
Good point if you know that to be true.
