Last night Gretchen Carlson said Lara Loomer is advising Trump to use the MOPs bunker busters to bomb Iran. 🤦‍♀️

Praying he decides against involving us in this war.

Oh, best part was Trump saying Putin should help negotiate a peace. Putin stands to make big bucks as oil goes up, up, up. My local BP went from $2.76 to $3.19 2 days ago.

Apparently Trump is Putin’s PR guy. From the G7 to Iran he is promoting Putin. Gag me.

It's good to see the F-35s pass this test, even if it's at the expense of the Persian F-14s.

I've been curious how well the Iranian drones performed, as well and it looks like they're not doing as well as they have in Ukraine. It would be nice - but I'm not holding my breath - to send any lessons learned to the Ukrainians to defend against the same drones that Russia has been launching into Kyiv and other civilian population centers.

An interesting article on this topic at Scientific American from a few days ago:

That may have more to do with Iron Dome being present - which just means more anti-air capability.

Though Israel will run out of missiles for the system after enough time has passed. One of the problems with the system - and the ballistic drones more broadly - is the drones cost less than the missiles used to destroy them. Cheaper systems are needed - like the Gepard, perhaps as a distributed emplaced turret system controlled remotely and/or via AI targeting.

I think you jumped the shark with this column, David. In your zeal to pin anything on Trump that paints him in a bad light, you have conjured up this wrong headed way to look at this action against Iran. In actuality, Trump and Bibi Netanyahu have been working in concert this whole time, starting with the brilliant feint that Trump acted out when he pretended that he and Bibi weren't on the same page in terms of whether or not the US was even on board with the timing of the bombing. Secondly, we have lent Israel logistical support, help with the shooting down of incoming missiles from Iran, etc.. Further, Israel, not being willing to accept even the slightest remnant of a nuclear program in Iran, recognizes how essential our 30,000 lb bunker busting bombs are to the completion of their mission, which is the obliteration of the Ayatollah's nuclear ambitions. Now, admittedly, Trump may be getting ahead of his skis in terms of who the credit ultimately belongs to, but I really don't think Netanyahu will quibble in the end as long as Iran is put in it's place.

“Fox News was broadcasting wall-to-wall imagery of what it was portraying as Israel’s military genius. And Mr. Trump could not resist claiming some credit for himself.”

To borrow from Hunt for Red October: “WAY TO GO, ISRAEL!!”

Good of them to do the western world a solid and kick those Iranian Islamic clerics in the balls.

Now it’s time for Trump to send the B2 and castrate those mofos once and for all 🤞

More relevant: where is the legal authority for any strike or military action directly against Iran? Congress hasn't passed any resolution for war with Iran, or given any authority to use war powers in such a manner against Iran.

Hence proxy war. Not a new concept. It’s quite bi-partisan, actually.

If the US gets involved directly, it's not a proxy war.
