I wasn't aware of this. I assumed that Jews treated the New Testament the same way a Christian would treat the Book of Mormon (or the Gospel of Thomas).

I was writing from the perspective of determining what I believed versus proving a book is true or not. The NT Is not generally banned among Jews, but it was considered banned among my family or at least for me.

Yeah, it wasn't banned by any means for us. My uncle's second wife is Catholic, my 1st cousin once removed married a Christian, we grew up celebrating Christmas with them...

Very dependent on the family.
