Small states have way too much power in this country. I know that fits the right perfectly because they can't compete if everyone is equal, but its still a crap way to run a "free" country. You don't need the E.C. and the senate, pick one. Both California and New York could break off and become powerful nations in themselves while at the same time crippling the rest of the US. How much longer do you think they are going to be happy with the way things are now?
No disagreement here. Just a comment on Constitutional Amendments. In today's political climate, amendments are impossible. The best chance would be a convention of the states but no one would trust the outcome.
