About that Dow, September 2, 2020, Trump tweeted,"The Dow Jones Industrial just closed above 29000! You are so lucky to have me as your president🙂 With Joe Hiden' it would crash☹️"

Prior to that, on October 12, 2020, Trump tweeted, STOCK MARKET UP ANOTHER 300 POINTS-GREATEST LEADING INDICATOR OF THEM ALL!!! DON'T RUIN IT WITH SLEEPY JOE!!!

Honestly, I give credit more to the strength of the American economy than to either president. I dont believe presidents have that much of an impact on the stock market compared to other world events. An exception might be Trump's unnecessary trade wars.

But if people are going to give credit/blame to one party's president for the stock market going up/down, it's only logical to be consistent and give creditblame both ways.

I agree with you and we know, where the economy is concerned, what goes up must come down and each president hopes it doesn't go down during their term. That people are so dimwitted they believe the president controls the markets, food and gas prices, etc. is mind-boggling. In 2021, when gas prices went up, these dinguses were putting "Biden did that" stickers on gas pumps all over the place. As prices go down, you don't see those stickers reappearing, though.

I am not optimistic at all. I think this grand experiment is over and this nation and the world will look completely different in 10yrs. I just never believed the Republican Party would be the one to bring about the destruction of our democratic republic, but then along came Trump. I always wondered how the Germans fell in line with Nazism and, now, watching the fealty of so many to Trump, hearing and reading what his supporters hear and read, I'm understanding how the Germans embraced Hitler, his message, and his promises. I hope people wake up, soon.

Easy solution to prevent the small amount of fraud via mail in ballots: put a PIN field on the envelope, and have the ballot associated to the envelope via QR code/similar.

Gathering completed ballots that are sealed and dropping them off shouldn't be an issue: that's just delivery. NC's scandal was due to the harvesters gathering unfilled/unsealed ballots/envelopes with signatures - which the fraudster then filled themselves.
