The lower bar for impeachment means nothing in today's divided political climate. A President of either party will not be impeached, convicted and removed from office unless he has committed a truly ghastly crime. Congressional hearings of any sort are mostly for show and seldom have any real value.
The GOP has sold their soul to the Orange. That’s beyond debate. And they’re no more for law and order these days than the average San Fran DA.
But both prosecutions are politically motivated. That is the saddest and most worrisome development, since that inclination may persist long after either of these guys are relevant.
Wow, you sure have become a shill for Biden, haven't you? Oh, wait, don't you tout yourself as a strong conservative? Coulda fooled me. From what I just read, and, of course, many of your past writings, it seems you are loathe to make any criticisms of "the big guy." But speaking of authoritarianism, you are aware that Mr. Biden loves to make physical threats on the American people, aren't you? You know, the ones where he stands ready to use F-16 fighter jets on us? Yeah, not a peep from you on that.
Do you have a link substantiating the F-16 threat? Seems like if Biden really was seriously about threatening his political enemies with aircraft, an A-10 would be a more terrifying prospect.
That's not it. A couple of years ago, a meme on social media was that another Civil War would be a possibility because of Biden's stance on gun control, and Biden, in a speech somewhere, said that nobody could seriously take on the govt because all they have is guns, but we have f16s
The only possible way a civil war could happen is if the military is complicit. In the 1861 civil war, the military was complicit—a dozen senior officers resigned from the U.S. Army, and the Confederates spent 6 months building a real arsenal while the U.S. Army diddled.
A new civil war would have to involve major units of the military including USAF squadrons. If that happens, it’s very very bad for any civilians.
Any other insurrection is going to get smoked and quickly. If you are a civilian pepper, I don’t care how much concrete you pour, when the Bradley Fighting Vehicle rumbles down your road, you lose.
I just watched Vicki's post and Biden isn't threatening to go after Americans with F-15s.
Unless you insist in torturing English into convoluted knots, he's saying that all the folks with guns who think they can take on the federal gov't will need a lot more firepower than what they have in their gun safes. This isn't the 1860s where civilians are armed nearly as well as the standing armies and local militias.
If I were talking about going into my local police station to start shooting police officers and someone told me that the officers would shoot back with better weapons that would likely kill me, that person isn't threatening me in any meaningful sense that they will have the cops assassinate me. They're telling me what will likely happen if I did something VERY stupid.
That isn't a threat. It's basic common sense cause and effect.
If "someone" told you that you could be killed when the cops shoot at you with superior weapons, I would agree with you, but if a COP made a public speech to that effect, I would see it as a tacit threat, do you see the difference?
If it ever comes to that, and I hope not, some more common sense is that serious rebels would not sweat the F-16s. They would use their .30 and .50 caliber rifles to pick off any leaders giving orders to kill Americans. Whichever politicians and military officers created conditions that caused such a rebellion would have to stay hunkered down for years.
In our universe we live in, those politicians get nominated to run for President again in the next cycle. We live in a world that is running VERY low on common sense.
I hope we are talking hypotheticals, but I cannot imagine orderly elections if a significant portion of the population takes up arms against what they consider an unjust, tyrannical government.

Naw. “Sold” implies getting payment or something of value in return. I’d say it’s “given” or “gifted”.
Haha fair enough. I’ll change it to “gave it up like a cheap date”. Seems particularly apropos when it comes to the orange.

I follow the evidence.
My rule of thumb is that if it sounds too stupid to be be true, it probably is. Biden never said what you claim.
I think this is the alleged you are referring to.
