I wondered about the lobbyist on the state board of elections. The only lobbyist I found is Edward Lindsey who is an attorney, a Republican and former member of the GA House of Representatives (2005-2014). He served as the House Majority Whip for 3 terms. He ran for Congress in 2014 for the seat thst was won by Barry Loudermilk.(The 11th district made a very poor choice IMHO.)
It appears Mr. Lindsey has appeared on CNN as a commentator and CNN has published several of his opinion pieces.
Well THAT explains it! Marcy McCarthy has a bug up her butt about this. I knew it had to be someone that had personally aggrieved the Trumpists. Thanks for the research!
Damn! Merrie Soltis for Governor of Georgia. I think you have a real shot, provided you didn't shoot one of your cats years ago because it wouldn't use the litter box.
Thanks for your discussion of the GOP ballot questions. My opinion is that it was just another vehicle to show how much you hate Trump. That's OK, I don't much of the guy either. He's just a better option at the national level than any of the alternatives that have a real chance of winning.
The ballot questions mean nothing except as GOP talking points for the ones that get positive votes. My comments are: (1) I do not think it is a good idea to have lobbyists on the election board. (2) I live in a PUD that is mostly in Gwinnett County although I live in Hall County by about 200 feet. After watching this development build out over the last two years and the others springing up nearby, there is too much high-density development. (3) Sanctuary cities and counties are illegal in Georgia. The law should be amended to put some teeth into it. Politicians can't be held criminally responsible for the actions of others, but it should be possible to remove them from office for promulgating illegal policies. (4) My big HELL NO goes to any suggestion of jungle primaries and ranked-choice voting. I do think there should be several more viable political parties. It might be possible to carve two or three more from the Georgia GOP.
Like to see you draft a list of your questions back to the GOP poll folks.
That's a great idea!

Evidently, the Texas Public Policy Foundation has a problem with him. https://www.texaspolicy.com/georgias-state-elections-board-needs-to-let-go-of-lobbyist-ed-lindsey/
Evidently, he ran afoul of The Federalist Society. Apparently, the issue is he isn't MAGA.

Strongly agree on your answer to #4. It would greatly improve our country if all states went to a jungle primary system.
