I usually get into these contests like a sports junkie approaches playoffs, but I just don't have it in me this cycle.
That's not me saying that you shouldn't cover the horse race - just me expressing my exhaustion around it, before it really even starts. If I were not working elections again this year - something I do enjoy doing and get a great deal of joy out of - I'd vote early and hop on a cruise somewhere where I could be at sea, with other things to distract me when the election goes down.

It doesn't have to be that way, there are other candidates. For instance, I will probably write my own name in.
