Look to see what candidate gets a bump out of the GOP primary. NH voters can declare as unenrolled and take a Republican ballot. Expect an increase in left of center voters jumping in with no race on the Democrat side. It is difficult to measure how the unenrolled vote will move, but my guess is that it will give a GOP candidate a chance to be looked at as a Trump alternative. Unenrolled voters determine statewide voting in NH.

Nikki Haley might offer more of what you want in a politician. Nothing against the lady but I prefer Republicans nominate a candidate with a chance of winning. DeSantis is best positioned to beat Biden. Trump is a guaranteed loser.

Personally, I think Haley would be better in the general than DeSantis. I haven’t seen much that impresses me there or much that would appeal outside the GOP.

You might be right. I would vote for her if she were nominated. So would a lot of democrats who are fed up with Harris/Biden, but too many Republicans would sit it out. DeSantis would probably get nearly as many democrat votes and a lot more Republican votes. I think it will boil down to how many democrats / women are die hard abortion supporters and 2SLBQT rights activists and buy into the everything is racist philosophy.

I think a lot of Trumpers will sit it out if it’s anyone but him. I agree there are a lot of moving pieces.

I think a lot of conservatives that are not happy with Trump to sit it out if he is the GOP nominee.
