I've been doing a lot of thinking, and one thing we must do is separate the "far left" from "progressive". The far left is just like the far right: eager for violence and division. Progressives OTOH come from a place of universalist principles. It's sort of like how the far right tries to assume the mantle of "conservative": there's nothing conservative about the far right, and their claiming of the label is harmful to principled conservatives.

They're all either useful idiots, or willing participants in a warped immoral mindset. We must defeat both sets of extremists.

Believing that Hamas is indeed very capable of the scenario you proposed is no big stretch for me. Believing that the MSM lies on a regular basis about this and many other headlines of past and current events is not at all a surprise. In fact the only shocker for me regarding the MSM is that people are only now surprised to find out how capable they have become in manipulating the behavior of their readers.

A lot of it is just "who can put the story out fastest" without thinking about the responsibility to be accurate. There are undoubtedly biases present in some orgs, but a lot of it is just "here's a story with a source, put it out" - 'cause there's no repercussions for being wrong.

Hi SGman, I know we have had disagreements in past conversations, but I completely agree with you about the lack of repercussions. For MSM it's all about the click bait and even worse, the message of the big money sponsors. I still read several MSM sites, but I do not trust any of the news they report. I realize that journalists (and for those working for MSM, I use that term lightly) are people and like everyone else they make mistakes, but when they are wrong more times then they are right and mistakes start becoming the norm, I start looking for my news from other sources.
