Trump did acknowledge that the people of Greenland have the right of self-determination and that he would attempt to woo them into the USA fold. As usual he could not stop when he had made his point but had to end his Greenland remarks with a clunky "we will get it one way or another". Not necessarily ominous, but just more ammo for his haters.
The President has evidently taught Zelensky to sit heel, roll over and speak.
Yes Curtis. I actually made a good case in a previous post for why Greenland should be in the U.S. and why we would want them. But we don’t strictly “need” them, and they should be free to stay with Denmark if they want.
Let Europe devour itself into a nation as large as the United States. It's not close to being a major force like China and Russia, combined they are only showing how much more powerful they are by having self-resmtraint. Europe dismantling democracy to the point that they're unable to trust their own voting systems or eyes that should be able to clearly see the social upheaval and economic disaster brought on by its own greed and corruption.
When will they learn that war is murder?
I say all this as I'm on my device that requires rare earth minerals. We need Greenland for what reason? I don't know. But, I'm not privy to private dealings of nuclear energy. We can't invest in it. If people could invest in it through government lines, I bet more would be willing to go to war over it. None of us benefit from it. I don't "need" this device.
I don't agree with you but you're an excellent writer. I could be friends with you even though we disagree. The middle ground doesn't exist. We are on a walk like humpty Dumpty. The sides have swung so far each way.
I would say this is not necessarily about religion, because ultimately that is one's own determination. This is more a matter of whether a specific thing naturally exists or is a modern artificial construct.
I'm speaking only for myself. Steve has put a lot more thought into the subject than I have. But I will give you credit. You seem to have an inexhaustible supply of contrary opinions that often require hours of research to contradict.
ah, obummer...the mamzer king, yep, full throated as well. I'd rather a "judeo"-Christian to that. I'm just plain ol Christian....one of either Smyrna or Philadelphia.....2 of the 7 churches mentioned in Rev 2 & 3.
Yet Jesus quoted the OT in Matthew 22:37-40. It comes right from Deuteronomy 6 (the Sh’ma prayer in fact) and Leviticus 19. Everything Jesus taught is from the OT. The only “new” Jesus (Yeshua) offered was Himself and His covenant. He fulfilled the Law but did not abolish it. If there’s no “Judeo” there’s no Christian.
What? What Bible are you reading? Yeshua is the Messiah prophesied by the OT. The fact that modern Jews don’t believe in Him was also prophesied. Believe in Him or not, the Christian faith and the Jewish faith are inseparable, Biblically speaking. Without the Jews and the Torah, and the Prophets, there is no Christianity. There is no “Rev Yeshua” version of Jesus. Either He is God or he is a false messiah, a lunatic claiming God-hood. There is no other option. Accept or reject. If you reject Judaism as in the God of the OT, however, you automatically reject Christianity. Anyone who preaches otherwise is selling a heresy.

They won't, because the US is not a trustworthy partner.

I will not be arguing religion with Steve Berman.

Thank you very much.
It's probably to do with me and Steve's shared ethnic and religious background. We just went different directions with our beliefs.

I kinda hate the term "Judeo-Christian", because they really aren't compatible. It really just means "Christian".
How are they not compatible, asks the Jewish follower of Christ?
The Christ part, and everything that follows.
Judeo refers to the religion, not the ethnicity.

Ah, but now we get into the difference between Rav Yeshua and Jesus Christ. And fundamentally, that's not compatible.
