Now this is an article I can get behind. You have just elicited many of the reasons I am a #nevertrumper. These reasons should be quite enough for all of us to never cast a vote for Donald J. Trump, without having to resort to lies and half-truths about his involvement in Jan. 6th.

I can’t say I disagree with anything being said here. I am also not at all a fan of Trump. I wish in general that we had more people with integrity period! running for office and in charge of running “our” country. But sadly and terrifyingly, we don’t. So what then is the answer? The answer to an administration/party clearly bent on undoing free speech and freedom in general--pitted against the other side--Republicans--who only act as if they care, while doing little to nothing to seriously right anything. That it would seem is what makes Trump so attractive to so many. He is technically NOT a member of of either side! So what do you do when hypocrisy runs deep within both the religious and the secular? What do you suggest when Trump and Biden are the “best” we have to offer the American people? 🤷‍♀️

You vote for DeSantis or Haley in your local primary so that the choice is one of them versus Biden.

I am truly sorry that DeSantis was not the one people were voting for at the Iowa caucus. Haley not so much.

And unfortunately, it does not look like the Republican Party will be willing to consider that option either!

And yet, I get it.

I get that a lot of people--Christians AND non-Christians alike--have a strong distaste towards anyone who has been in or is now a part of an obviously very broken and corrupt establishment.

I get that with no other strong person to consider--to many the non-establishment person of choice has become Trump.

And that in my mind speaks to the level--as well as to the depth--of brokenness and corruption within our government/country as well as the level of distrust, dissatisfaction

and betrayal felt by a lot of American people. Myself included.

Trump also did do some things right and a lot of people’s lives were made better with Trump in charge.

Trump has also been the one most willing to call out the brokenness, which is and has been clearly attractive to many.

It also doesn’t help that the Democratic party itself has made Trump a victim/martyr to those who often see themselves as victims and so can and/or choose to relate.

Those same people also feel dismissed, put down and as if they and their values and rights have been forgotten or do not count.

They are frustrated--as am I--at watching their beliefs and even their rights to raise their own children as they wish being devalued and usurped.

I don’t like it or the man.

But I can understand the psychology around them both.

And if our leaders/our government had been more forthright, honest and transparent ALL ALONG...

and if our media had remained loyal to its original purpose, instead of becoming so entrenched with and in service to one particular party and its alternative narrative...

and if our educational system at all levels had stuck to actually teaching instead of allowing itself to be hijackered by gender ideology, DEI and social justice issues...

and if we as a nation and we as a people had not become so complacent, lazy, distracted and rudderless...

and so on...

we would not be in this mess entertaining and/or looking towards the likes of Donald J Trump.

It is truly a shame.

But in my mind pretty understandable.

Just how I see it and how I make sense of it for myself.

🤷‍♀️🧘🏼‍♀️🤷‍♀️

To me, the answer is clear. I agree with Liz Cheney that “We can survive bad policy, we cannot survive a president who torches the Constitution.”

And Biden isn’t doing his own share of torching the constitution?

Stretching? Yes. Torching? No.

That’s bad enough but there’s a clear difference.

You are right. There is a clear difference. We assume Trump wants or is going to “torch” the Constitution, while Biden is actively and consciously undermining it in real time right now. Biden ignoring and lying about the border, while inviting and encouraging the unprecedented onslaught, putting our country and American citizens at risk. Forgiving student debt. Undermining free speech and championing censorship. Undermining and actively not allowing states their right to protect their borders and their citizenry. Sanctioning discrimination and racism against white people. After voting “no” on the FISA Amendment Act because of Section 702 because of its unconstitutionality, now defending and using it despite its violation of the civil liberties of ordinary Americans. Unprecedented and unnecessary coercion and mandates around Covid and its vaccine. Undermining Religious freedom and protection. Overtly undermining women’s rights and safety. Imposing a double standard for some people who break the law over other people who break the law, actively undermining—(also using) our justice system. Launching military attacks in Yemen without Congressional approval. All pretty substantial and detrimental “stretches” to our Constitution, especially for one always claiming to be the champion of “Democracy.” For all the empathy Biden is said to possess, you would think that at the very least he would shut the border down over Fentanyl deaths. But it would appear that his empathy, as well as his safety concerns are reserved only for what affects him and his own family. Not the families of the citizens he is supposed to be serving. Again, not a Trump supporter. Not claiming to know what Trump would do or would intend to do if he were to again be elected President. Just noting what is happening right now. And just not a big fan of double standards, hypocrisy or different rules for thee than me. 🤷‍♀️

I Will Back Nicki Haley In The Primaries. I Will Vote For Her, As Well, But, Only, To Deprive Donald Trump Of The GOP Nomination. If Nicki Haley Beats Out Trump And Wins The GOP Nomination, However, I Will Do Everything In My Power To See To It That Nicki Haley Loses The General Election. Nope, I Will Never Vote For Haley In The General Election.

Do I Like Joe Biden? Nope, Politically, As A Never - Trump Conservative, I Can't Stand Him. But At The End Of The Day, I Know That Joe Biden Will Never Pardon Donald Trump Or Obstruct Justice And Quash Any Criminal Prosecutions Of Donald Trump. Nicki Haley Has Already Indicated That She Will, Probably, Pardon Donald Trump And That She Sympathizes With The Trump Cuck Point Of View That Poor Widdle Donald Trump Is The " Victim " Of Political " Persecution " And That Trump Is Some Kind Of Political " Martyr ". Welp, I Have No Interest In That. I Would, Rather, Have Four More Years Of Senile, Old Joe Biden, As Much As I Politically ( Though, Not Personally ) Despise Him, Then To Have Nicki Haley Obstruct Justice And Give Trump A " Get Out Of Jail, Free " Card. Don't Give Me The " But There Are So Many Other Conservative Political Issues In This Presidential Election. You Must Hold Your Nose For Nicki Haley!!! " Argument, Either. Nope, There's Only One Issue In The 2024 Presidential Election - Donald Trump Being Held Accountable To The Justice System. Donald Trump Must Be Prosecuted And Donald Trump Must Go To Prison. Period. Full 🛑 Stop. Our Republic Will Not Be Safe From That Thug, Wannabe Dictator, Donald Trump Until He Is In Prison. The Conservative Movement And The Republican Party Will Not Move On From Trump, Until It Is FORCED To Move On From Trump By Donald Trump Being Criminally Convicted And Put Behind Bars. Only When Trump Is In Prison, Will The GOP Let Go Of Trump. Nope. Trump Being, Rightfully, Thrown In Prison Is The Only Political Issue In The 2024 Presidential Election. Nothing, Else, Matters. Until Trump Is In Prison, Where He Belongs, Conservative Issues Won't Matter And The Conservative Movement Will Not Heal. So Whether Nicki Haley Wins The GOP Nomination Or Not, I Will Strongly Support Joe Biden In The General Election. I Won't Be Voting For Joe Biden, For President, As Much As I'll Be Voting For Donald Trump For Prison.
