I'm going to keep my powder dry on what the Epstein files say about Trump. It wouldn't surprise me if he's mainly guilty of keeping poor friends, and it wouldn't surprise me if he's guilty of much more serious stuff. That said, Ted Lieu is making some noise that it's the latter.[1] We'll see if Ted's out over his skis or whether is a "there" there.

That said, I agree with Megyn Kelly[2] that Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick needs to account for his relationship with Epstein[3]. The fact that the White House continues to shield him reflects very poorly on an administration who ran on a platform exposing Epstein's associates[4].

The larger question is if, politically, it even matters?

All accusations in the Epstein files should be evaluated. I suspect most already have been but a check for thoroughness would not hurt. The first accusations were in 2005 which means that four presidential administrations have been aware of the scandal. I do not know what DOJ actions were taken under those four presidents, but I do know that half the population will not trust whatever was found in the past or what will be found in the future.

Wet sidewalks do not cause rain, but mental illness can certainly cause individuals to go berserk. I suppose mental illnesses can be manifest in laid-back don't give a damn calmness or in berserk killing sprees. Transgenderism is a mental disease and any known mentally ill person who is overly aggressive, outraged and threatening should be confined.

I think it had a lot more to do with Roberta Dorgano being a Nazi (seriously, had SS and totenkopf tatoos) than being transgender.

To build on some of the discussion from yesterday, what makes us us? Is it solely our biology, or is it something else too? Brain development in utero can result in different perceptions of self or of course to whom one may be sexually attracted. Is the body all that should matter?

When we have to deal with violent transgender neo-Nazis I think we have crossed some kind of line. Or there should be a line crossed to get to that point.

Sounds like a double dose of crazy.

Excellent article. All these so called elites originally let Epstein in because he charmed and flattered them. IMO they let him stay in their circle because of what he provided for them (women/girls) and later because they were afraid he would tell what he knew about them. As far as Trump. I think you've hit the nail on the head. He ditched Epstein. I believe that if there was really any damaging info on him, the Democrats would have released it before the election. Who knows, they might have won if they had.
