I had an enjoyable 2 hour plus wait in line to vote yesterday at my old high school. It was so very like old NH. I navigated with folks I did not know, but living in the same town for so long we knew many people in common. No talk of politics. Conversed with people I know and like of all political stripe. Was like a mini old home day. If the same think happened across the country, then we need to accept the judgement of our fellow citizens, and hope for better days forward.

Well spoken sir ! My feelings and thoughts align with you and I am (and have been) in prayer for this nation to seek and draw closer to God.

The majority has spoken (and shown where their allegiance lies)and I pray this country will survive the outcome and that Trump does not become the dictator he wants to be !

I think you might be selling the voters short. Give them credit for something besides worshipping false idols. Perhaps they considered the policies implemented by the current administration and the results thereof and decided they wanted no more of it. Those of us who remained comfortable and were able deal with what was happening decided the greater evil was Donald Trump. We did not listen to the majority who were dealing with real world problems when they said they were under duress.

Instead, we tried to convince them they did not understand, they were really better off and more of the same was what they needed.

The voters did not necessarily get what they wanted but they convincingly made sure they did not get what they did not want.

Curtis, much love, but no. Stampeding wildebeests don’t consider the lions’ motives or policies. They just run.

I've been accused of being obtuse and I believe it. I do not read lips, I do not read between the lines, and I do not pick up on hints. The "no" in your response is a clue that you disagree. I'm not sure I understand your analogy. Who's the gnus?

I’ll explain and apologize for being snarky. I do not think voters on the whole were considering policy. They reacted to their situation and if they trusted one candidate. And the rest is herd behavior, fear and messaging. Coke vs. Pepsi. It’s marketing.

I did not detect any snark.

It will take me weeks, perhaps months to work through my grief. I am sighing the deep sighs. And I will remain in prayer. Praying for our nation. Praying for it’s leaders. But above all praying for the church. I am never, ever going to understand this. Golden idol is so apropos. We can wait to see if the ground opens and swallows those who chose it over God. Over Jesus. Christianity in America is in huge trouble. The world will wait to see if he ends NATO as promised repeatedly. God save us and God save those who truly believe.

RFK was never a Democrat. Sure, he was registered as one and has the name, but was the end of it. His fever dream against science is MAGA 101. It is deeply disturbing Trump in his victory speech said RFK will make America healthy again - what does that mean? What sort of power will be concentrated in his hands?

And why would RFK Jr. be anyone’s first or even tenth thought going forward or even looking backwards?
