For what it's worth, I run into trans folks fairly regularly, and just like Christians, they are people with their own goals and problems, looking to get through life with a minimum of drama, and do an exceptional time minding their own business as well.

Like Christians, it's a handful looking to stir crap up that create 99% of the drama among those around them.

In both cases, those are very big hands. I prefer that people keep their sex lives private. Don't know, don't ask, don't tell, and don't try to convince everyone else they should approve of individual choices. I'm not perfectly tolerant in this regard. I do make exceptions for military combat units where comradery is more appropriate than sexual activities and distractions.

I also think gender confusion is a mental illness and should not be encouraged in children or in athletic competition. Mental illness of all types might also lead to violence. But if adult guys and gals wish to mutilate themselves and live in peace, who cares?

I'm just relaying what I'm experiencing living in a community with actual trans folks and Christians.

From what you hear in right-wing media, you'd think I wouldn't be able to go anywhere without all of them proudly trumpeting their trans-ness, when the opposite is overwhelmingly the case.

Don't know if that counts as big hands or not. ;-)

Just thinking of the size of hands it would take to hold all the activists for and against trans and other sexual aberrations that are increasing by leaps and bounds due to social contagion.

Agreed, well said Steve.

Better yet was this cut you posted and it said it ALL: "In this marriage of faith and politics, the politicians got all the benefits. The Body of Christ got none." Brilliant.

I have always been of the mind: I don't care what you do in your own home or even with your friends. What has happened today is completely turned "Don't ask, don't tell" upon it head. I will never find it acceptable for anyone to try and force their beliefs upon me.

At the end of everyone's life there will be a judgement rendered. I can accept mine because I know how flawed I am and have been. I do fear for my fellow man in that this type of pronunciation for public gratification thinking in the end it will find its own reward.

Millennial after Millennial, Century after Century, and Decade after Decade people of reason and common sense have the experience and knowledge of which I speak. It has been, is, and always will be normal. No amount of drivel will ever change this.

Nice post. And whoever wrote that on Twitter was brilliant.

If something like this proclamation triggers you, it’s cuz you’re easily triggered.
