Republican men complained and screamed for a year about how wearing a mask was an assault on their freedom and choice, and now those same men are lining up to tell women that being forced to give birth isn't an assault on anything. I wonder what having abortion rights on the ballet every year will do in states like Texas, Georgia, and Florida?

Either way forced birthers should get this win. I refuse to call them pro-life since they have shown without a doubt not to care about life as 600,000 Americans died this last year and they complained about a mask.

They sold out their god and religion for this victory they should at least enjoy it while the world sends their faith to the ashbin of history.

The best course of action IMO is to reduce demand (as Dems try to do, though many don't recognize that) as limiting/eliminating supply (as GOP wishes) will just create a black market. The problem is that many of the policy changes needed to reduce demand run contrary to GOP positions regarding healthcare/welfare/contraception: those who prioritize abortion as more pressing an issue may need to change their plan of attack if they want to make lasting change.

I agree that Trump was not really into the right to life movement but he did stick to his campaign promise and that was much appreciated.

I'm with you on wishing to see Roe overturned. Not so much because I have any strong opinions on abortion itself (I'm probably mildly pro-life), but because what is clearly a state issue - given the Constitution and laws as written - continues to be a pox on our national politics where this one local issue blots out the sun for any number of valid national issues. It contributes to the increasing dumb partisanship in this country and focuses so much attention on national races that should be directed at the state level, leading to more winner-takes-all / Flight-93ism.

Rooting for the textualists to actually practice some textualism on this one.
