Decided Trump acted counter the public good on that January 6’th. And that states it as mildly as possible. Would like to hear testimony on the details of how it was able to happen and how the Capitol was so unprepared and vulnerable. Hope the public portion answers our questions as citizens.

Which is more important, how the Capitol was able to be breached, or how the then president orchestrated an attempted coup? I think the answer is obvious.

Glad that the answer is obvious. Makes the question unnecessary. Hope for committee report that answers all the questions. Obvious and less so too.

One would hope that they would prioritize the more critical issues like an attempted coup. I know those folk who aided Trump in his efforts to overturn the election results will focus on the Capitol security issues to obfuscate their and Trump's efforts to end our democracy.

As was pointed out by the media last night, this production would make Putin proud. It was one of the best productions of a political show trial in the history of American Media. It reminds me of the McCarthy hearings of the 1950's.

"What if Trump did in fact intend, and conspire, to steal the election? What if he and his minions deliberately orchestrated a siege of the Capitol? What if Trump did in fact say that his own vice president should be hanged?

Would that be bad?"

"The media" for you being Fox and Newsmax, who declined to show any of what was actually going on.

Not a trial.

Amen Steve. Liz Chaney was stunning in her delivery and was as rock solid as any politician from either party in a long long time.

"The fact that the House of Representatives failed to convict Trump on the heels of this event is bewildering and, frankly, dangerous to me." This is an obvious mistake. The trial took place in the Senate, not the House.

There is zero excuse for any of this but still I've heard plenty. It was Antifa. It was the FBI. The GOP would not do this. In a way the GOP as we knew it didn't do this. This was done (as you can see in court records) by our brand new MAGA GOP. We have become inclusive if nothing else. We got your Oath Keepers, Proud Boys, Assorted Q wacks, all kinds of previous felons most for assault, and then the weirdos.

I watch the court cases of these wackadoos everyday. This is not the GOP of Main Street America. These are the assorted felons and Lost Boys who have come into the party since Trump. We have traded the burb voters for the Misfits and the Felony Family. No joke. Many of these people were previous felons before they set foot in the Capitol.

When you put out a call for violence the violent hear the call.
