Stefanik is not the sharpest knife in the drawer:

"Today’s Anniversary of Medicare & Medicaid reminds us to reflect on the critical role these programs have played to protect the healthcare of millions of families. To safeguard our future, we must reject Socialist healthcare schemes."[1]

To call her a major downgrade from Liz Cheney would be quite a gross understatement. But I guess that was inevitable, especially when the barometer of conservatism is now defined as how well one can lick the boots of the Orange Man. Stefanik has Cheney beat in that regard.

I laughed so much when I saw that Tweet the other day. So, so stupid...

I think there is wisdom and value in not fanning the flames of emotion and also rushing to judgment, in order to fulfill a preferred, predetermined political narrative(as was the case in Michael Brown, and Ashli Babbitt). These incidents that lead to their deaths were different(I feel the insurrection is more serious, given the attempted subversion of the Constitution). But had more people sought the truth instead of defaulting to their narratives, the consequences would've likely not have been as bad.

On a bit of good news, Alex Berenson has been suspended from Twitter. Perhaps not surprisingly, Senator Ron Johnson praised Berenson and encouraged others to follow him on substack. Wisconsin is a swing state, and I'm wondering if Johnson already decided privately not to run for re-election in 2022. If that is the case, he can just spend the rest of his term spouting off Covid trutherisms and whatever crackpot theories comes his way, knowing he doesn't have to face the electorate in Wisconsin again. He'll probably be a political albatross to whomever is the GOP candidate running to succeed Johnson.

And David, I'm heartened to hear that your wife is getting better. I'm also glad to hear you and the rest of the family have tested negative and are doing well. I'll keep praying for her continued recovery.

Thanks, and I'm with you that the insurrection was far more serious.
