I don't know why, but I am compelled to check out the Drudge Report at least daily. I guess it is an old habit that won't die. I have followed the page since the early 2000s and continued as I abandoned the GOP. I was often amused, during the Obama years, when I opened the page to see the emergency siren lights proclaiming the hysteria du jour. (I also notice how those sirens completely disappeared after Obama left office and have not ever reappeared even when our Capitol was under attack.)
Anyway, today, Colin Powell's death was a huge headline with FULLY VACCINATED in red all caps underneath. I shake my head in disgust. Thank you, David, for pointing out General Powell's multiple myeloma. It is unfortunate that the general populace who read Drudge cannot/will not understand how that disease works and it is even more disgusting that his death is used to score a dishonest talking point.
It is for people like Colin Powell that I continue to mask whenever I am out in public. While people with diseases like his may not be out and about, their caregivers are.
