Christie is full of himself. So much so that he turns off a lot of voters. He not above all political machinations, but when he was running on his principles instead of airing his grievances, he made a lot of sense. I could have voted for him in 2016.

I was actually surprised when Willis beat Howard, but his acquittal was no surprise. In Fulton County, peers are defined strictly by race and political affiliation.

Are all Racket News writers just shills for the Democrats or plain old Trump haters? One thing is certain, there is no objectivity in any of the screeds I've read so far. I can get this type of editorial in the NYT, or WAPO anytime, I don't need another source. So, thanks, but no thanks. I'll waste my time doing crosswords.

More used to being called a RINO than a democrat. Am very willing to be critical of both parties as they deserve it.

I’d love to be paid for my opinion but we do this for free.

We don’t claim to be objective. We are open in our Pre-Trump Republican ™ views (a term I just coined).

To be clear, I’m not a Republican. I was a lifelong Republican until 2016.

I’m also not a Democrat. I disagree with them on a great many issues.

I’m a conservative and I fit well with the GOP before Trump and Cruz and the nonconservative populists took over. I had always said that I’d be Republican as long as the party reflected my beliefs. After 2016, it no longer did.

I’m still a conservative. I didn’t change. The Republican Party did.

To paraphrase Ronald Reagan (one of the greatest presidents and someone I see MAGA frequently rejecting), I didn’t leave my party. The party left me.

I have read several pieces by Mr. Berman. He does not make it a secret that he is not a Trump fan and there have been many times I have disagreed with his opinions and/or facts, but to call him a shrill is a fairly big stretch. For the most part, I have found his articles to be sincere and usually well balanced. Since we as a populace have seemed to have lost the art of debate, I think, and this is obviously only my opinion, that a good way to recapture that skill is to from time to time read articles and opinions that may challenge our positions. Who knows what might happen, perhaps everyone gets a little more educated. Just food for thought.

Hey MD; curious to read your assessment of The Racket and their collected group of writers. As a life long democrat, i can assure you, they aren't members of the D (or is it small D) party. They are solid to the core independents (these days), largely in part due to the orange guy driving them away.

Let's me be blunt here, the last thing they need is my help defending their beliefs. The "boys" have their feet firmly planted on the ground and their core values are solidly in place. You know; like smaller government, supporting the blue and preserving traditional institutions and customs.

Oddly enough, those are all the things donald trump has ran away from and dragged his followers along with him. Funny how in conjunction with abandoning those beliefs was his ability to drain the rubes of 100's of millions of dollars in "donations" and buying China made crap he sells; along with collecting millions of dollars from said foreign governments while president. Emoluments clause be damned...let's get Hunter.

But i digress. I have long read David, Steve and Jay because i want diverse opinions and differing points of view in my life. I would strongly encourage you to stay in your "safe place" where the trump fluffers all gather and tout the party line. Goodness that sounds "woke" almost like a true "snowflake."
