Separating children and adults at the border is not cruel. It's a necessary protection. Real parents would not subject their children to participating in an asylum scam. This entire mess could be fixed in a single week by Congress. Provide for guest workers. Provide a path to citizenship for dreamers. Define rules for political asylum. Eliminate chain migration. Reconfirm the qualifications for making immigrants a net positive - skills, language, self sufficiency, etc.
