It’s the horseshoe. Right wing morons and left wing morons are more similar than not. And centrists don’t resemble either type of flipping asshat. It’s too bad there isn’t a party to cater to the fat middle, and be F-wit-free.

The closest thing is the Democratic Party, which is hated by both groups. In the case of the left, they hate that Biden was elected (which was a normie backlash to their 2016 intransigence) and hate that the Dems/liberals are effective - 'cause if regular political activity is effective then there's no need for a revolution.

That's my view of the current state of things, at least .

Amen brother. Here's my position as a bleeding heart liberal; anyone on campus who broke the law should be arrested, allowed a school hearing/trial and if found guilty their backsides should be kicked out of school. Let them go home to explain to their parents how and why they chose to be played for tools.

Life is pretty damned simple when we go back to the basic fundamentals of right and wrong. Those are the only "rights" we should be worrying about.

Center indeed!

More lies, distortions, and half-truths from David Thornton with regard to Jan. 6th. Oh, well, what did I expect?

No one is forcing you to be here.

Of course that's true, but I'm determined to call out Mr. Thornton, or anyone else who distorts the facts concerning Jan. 6th.

You’re entitled to your opinions but not your own facts. I haven’t said anything that I can’t document and/or haven’t documented in the past.

Your failure to accept the facts does not change them.

The only thing you have "documented" is to repost liberal distortions, and half-truths which I will never accept as fact. The fact is, it was no more than a riot on Jan.6th, and Trump did NOT direct, urge, or lead an insurrection on that day, and isn't it interesting how you like to leave out the FACT that Trump wanted to provide national guard troops 2 days prior, but both Pelosi and Bowser declined the offer.

If Trump was completely uninvolved with the events that happened on the Capitol on Jan. 6th, he sure took his sweet time telling the people rampaging through the seat of one of the co-equal branches of the US gov't, flying his flag and chanting his name, to go home. Hell, it took 38 minutes for him to even tweet to his supporters to remain peaceful. We know that he's a faster Tweeter than that, as he found time to attack Mike Pence via Twitter, 24 minutes after the Capitol had been breached. It took almost another 2 hours for him to tell his supporters to go home.

If you want to paint a case that the folks on Capitol Hill were acting independently of Trump, there's a case to be made there. However, you ALSO have to deal with the fact that Trump was SUPREMELY negligent that day in doing ANYTHING useful for defusing the situation. How long does it take to draft a tweet telling his supporters to knock that crap out?

All of that is just your convoluted opinion. Period. Supremely.

Nothing more impressive than a man who has the "courage of his convictions." And you have been relentless in calling out David with your beliefs on what happened on Jan 6. So Cameron, the real test is to let this sham trial proceed, let Jack Smith take it to court before the November elections and we'll see who has been blowing smoke. Does trump have the same courage of his convictions? Or, will his conviction seal his fate. Come on man, the truth can set him (and you) free.
