"Joy to the World"
“Joy to the World” is yet another Christmas standard. The lyrics of the song were based on Psalm 98, 96:11–12, and Genesis 3:17–18 by Isaac Watts in 1719. The tune as we know it didn’t come until 1848.
The song has been recorded numerous times, but since I cheated Elvis out of the “Blue Christmas” honors on the #10 spot, we’ll listen to the king celebrate The King.
