As an alumnus of the only top ten public university in the state of Georgia, I do not see anything good coming from allowing college scholarship athletes to profit from their play. If they wish to enroll, take a full course schedule and keep their grades up with no scholarship, more power to them. Of course we all know that alumni with personal wealth and influential corporate or professional positions will find a way to funnel cash to the better players. Schools with huge fan bases outside their alumni rolls will enjoy more of a competitive advantage than they already do.
And Governor Kemp is an alumnus of a school that has a huge fan base - most of whom have never set foot on the campus unless it was to attend a football game.
