Let me help you out, David. Biden is wrong on everything but he's not CRAZY PANTS WRONG. All you have to do is look at who Trump surrounds himself with...Let's count them shall we? Let's see, the most recent are Lin Wood, Sydney Powell, Navarro, Giuliani, The Pillow Guy, Bannon, Carlson, and that's the A team. There are many more back benchers during this clown show.

Need I point out that these are not the bi-polars we are looking for? What candidate who is remotely competent would have these people around?

The GOP needs a candidate.

I wonder if Mitch McConnell and other like minded Republicans who aren't MAGA sycophants, but not exactly NeverTrump Republicans, realize just what a colossal mistake they made by failing to convict and disqualify the Former Guy from ever seeking the presidency again. They seemed to be afraid that the GOP base would revolt and abandon the party at Trump's bequest. I'm convinced that this was a long term political miscalculation, as the GOP/MAGA base certainly would've erupted in anger. But political outrage is almost invariably transient and short lived. Also the overwhelming majority of Republican voters always vote Republican, regardless of who it is. And I highly doubt that most Trump enthusiastic voters are going to simply sit home if any other Republican not named Trump runs against someone like Kamala Harris in 2024. 3 years is an eternity in politics, and a DQ'd Trump might still be whining and moaning about his defeat then. And MAGA supporters might early on grumble and threaten to not vote GOP ever again without Trump being there. But the fact is that most people move on, whether they publicly admit to or not. It's just like all the people who threaten to leave our country whenever a presidential election doesn't go their way. The actual number of individuals who carry out that threat mostly likely amounts to a needle in a haystack. :)

You nicely summed up everything people need to remember about 1-6 here David. I agree with Jay that this is necessary tough medicine for the GOP.
