Iran has always controlled the Strait of Hormuz. They've closed it before. But they've been able to weaponize it in ways they never thought possible due to the bloodletting they are going through (and causing internally). I only hope the Iranian people one day rise up and throw those bums out.
And y et Trump is handily losing this war; they have a lot more nuclear material now than during the JCPOA period; and they now have all the more reason to actually build one - which our intelligence agencies stated they were not previously seeking.

Under the JCPOA Iran would legally have a nuclear bomb now! No sanctions, and control of the Strait. Just try to insist that Iran can not charge a toll to transit the Strait when they actually have nuclear bombs.
