One thing to note that is often missed (though in no way is an excuse): the Republican majority in the TN House was cutting off Democratic representatives' microphones, refusing to call on the Democratic representatives during debate, and ending debate before Democratic representatives had time to provide their piece of the debate.
That's what Mr. Jones said. He doesn't say that the topic of gun violence was not the business before the body when the uprising began. The media left out that Mr. Jones was also guilty of assaulting Republican representatives and banned from the Capitol prior to the time he was nominated and elected by the democrats.
The minority will always have trouble pursuing their agenda - no different than the US House Republicans under Nancy Pelosi. It is not necessarily racial.
There's a difference between "pursuing their agenda" and being completely cut-out from providing debate on bills as well. It is possible to criticize the Tennessee legislature for their undemocratic processes without referring to racism in any way.
The uproar over Justice Thomas is almost entirely racist. He is a prominent black conservative who has conservative friends. He left the democrat plantation and therefore must be deplatformed and silenced by the media and the democrats. His court decisions are all available for examination. I do not believe there is any evidence indicating corruption - only consistently conservative decisions.
I can honestly say that my opinion would not change because I feel that Justices vote the way they see the role of the federal government. Of course, I generally do not like the way liberal justices vote on any question. I do give Justice Kagan credit for thinking before she votes but I usually disagree.
You and I may be two of the few who wouldn't flipflop. I'm with on on disagreeing with the votes of liberal justices, but I do respect their intellect and legal abilities. And sometimes they are right.

TN is in dire need of small-d democratic reform.

I haven’t seen evidence of corruption, but I do see a lack of transparency and behavior that erodes trust in the objectivity of the Court.
I don’t have any doubt that if roles were reversed and Soros was flying a liberal justice to his yacht, everyone’s opinion would reverse also.
