"I’m going to keep it short today, so hopefully you won’t feel shortchanged for what you pay for The Racket News."

As a small business owner, let me say that I strongly suspect that you could double (or even TRIPLE) what you're charging us and you wouldn't lose a single reader.

I'm not sure of a third party but I can't support Trump's GOP (except individual candidates at times) or the Democratic Party.

I do not believe three parties is enough. I would suggest five or more. That would stifle the federal government enough to ensure only wildly popular changes occur. Most legislation today is useless. We really need only a balanced budget, national defense, a border under control and to deal with few other pressing national issues that almost everyone can agree on. The pronoun crisis and enhanced history will fall by the wayside.

Interesting analogy Steve. One of my hopes when we talk reform or even this large step forward would be a part of their platform be publicly financed campaigns with absolute caps on small donations, say $50 or $100. That would be a game changer and give the folks attempting to build a grass roots movement of normal members of society a leg up.

CNN showed a special this weekend on two major donors in Texas. Rich beyond belief, they have shaped the political landscape in the state. While the core of their money was used to support "Christian ideals," one can only wonder about what other votes they got in return for their investment?

It's time for a move back to the center. Take the money out of politics and make it about ideas. Watch how quickly it all changes.
