Wow. You cover a lot of territory with this post. I don't agree with all of it, but you correctly identify plenty of problems. Now you just need a follow-up to correctly identify the solutions.

There’s a lot of stupid out there. Also, I don’t have all the solutions, but the first step is to begin paying attention.

I hope you didn't take my comment as a slur. It was more like wishful thinking. There may be solutions to some of the dilemmas, but conflicting interests will mean decades of turmoil.

Not at all Curtis. You said it covers a lot of territory and I was agreeing with you.

I wish the President would explain the case for NATO and Ukraine support as well as you have.

Reading this was very interesting. I agree with many of the observations you put forth. You can say it a thousand times and in a thousand different ways and I will not agree: "Orange Man Bad". Donald Trump has used the American Business Model to his advantage and became filthy rich in the process by "USING" the system. I would go as far as to say "legally" because until politics where introduced he was never legally accused in his business practices. Well, other than when someone saw profit in it for themselves, SAME AS NOW.

FORGET TRUMP!

Most of what is wrong with America today is a trickle down theory of all things. The Military Industrial Complex is at the center of most of the article you so perfectly put together. Eisenhower warned US and you are seeing the results of his concerns today. In America today, what I see, is a system where Big Business has learned how to use MIC strategies as their own to make huge profits. This model has spread throughout world. Name your BIG business and look at the processes they used to get BIG.

In my simplistic ordinary man understanding I will explain what I have seen. The days of dial-up internet brought forth knowledge by using your fingertips instead of reading books. There were some cheats out there but for the most part you could find whatever information you wanted "FOR FREE". Then they coined the term MONETIZATION which has led to MONOPOLIZATION.

It has never been my desire to be rich or I would have applied the model above in some way. This would get me into discussing my personal philosophy which is not the point here. BUT, this is where I see we are today, and why. I try to use the Kiss Methodology without the Assume Methodology. Or, at least, I believe I do.

No, Donald Trump inherited a great amount of wealth and - if he had done nothing in business and simply invested in index funds - would be worth far more money. Instead he lost a lot of money (even bankrupting a casino), got bailed out by his daddy, and later got bailed out by banks via loan forgiveness.

He's a spoiled man-child with deep-seated insecurities, no sense of humor, and if you actually listen to him you'll get nothing of worth because he just spouts gibberish. He has no understanding of issues, and cannot provide actual policy even after having been POTUS for 4 years. He is not competent.

I understand that it must feel unfair that so much is said about how far the GOP has fallen - but that is what happens when you abandon principle and character, allowing the nutjobs to take power and control your party.

We are lucky the Democrats have thus far kept the Leftists out of power, much to the Leftists' ire ('cause they HAAAAAAATE Democrats).
