FWIW, we're seeing different numbers for vaccine effectiveness out of the UK:

"Researchers at the University of Oxford, UK, and the country’s Office for National Statistics analysed a vast data set comprising the results of 2,580,021 PCR tests to check for SARS-CoV-2 from 384,543 UK adults between 1 December 2020 and 16 May 2021 — when the Alpha variant was dominant — and 811,624 test results from 358,983 people between 17 May and 1 August 2021, when the Delta variant was more prevalent."

"The results, published in a preprint on 19 August1, suggest that both vaccines are effective against Delta after two doses, but that the protection they offer wanes with time. The vaccine made by Pfizer in New York City and BioNTech in Mainz, Germany, was 92% effective at keeping people from developing a high viral load — a high concentration of the virus in their test samples — 14 days after the second dose. But the vaccine’s effectiveness fell to 90%, 85% and 78% after 30, 60 and 90 days, respectively."[1]

Your point still stands, but we need to understand why those numbers diverge.

That the vaccines lose effectiveness gradually over time has been known right from the beginning. Everything promised about the vaccines, has come to fruition, as infections, hospitalizations, and deaths have all dramatically declined. The problem with all this is when anti-vax dirtbags like Alex Berenson use what is happening in Israel(notwithstanding that hospitalizations/serious infections/deaths are still disproportionately among the unvaxxed, and it isn't even close) as proof positive example that the vaccines "don't work". Berenson blows every case of a breakthrough infection out of proportion, fudges his numbers, and convinces many of the gullible that the vaccines are completely ineffective. He assertions are laughably easy to debunk, but many of those who read what he has to say are either those looking for confirmation bias for their existing anti-vax views, or those misled by him who do not take time to scrutinize his phony claims. And Tucker(who we all know is vaxxed) Carlson continues to give this guy airtime, and let him amplify his lies to many. I think elected officials ought to publicly shame these two guys for their wicked deeds. And those of us rank and file individuals who are vaccinated, should do the same on our social media accounts, and use whatever reach we have to repudiate and shame Berenson and Carlson.

Let's see, offer two pto days for vaccines or risk another shutdown. You're right, what a tough decision. And the situation with the vaccines is exactly what everyone said it was going to be. Why are people so impossibly thick headed?

Now I need to go get my immune compromised butt over to get my booster. I can't believe I gave 10 percent of my life to this selfish idiotic country. Not to mention how the first half of my life was lost to the racist cult that is american christianity.
