The Trump years eliminated that mental heuristic for me. I still remain skeptical, but end up a lot less surprised when the stupid rumor ends up being true.

People are giving the Boebert accusations weight because the group behind it was the same one that went after MC first. But I would be hard pressed to believe these particular things actually happened. Boebert is trash but that still isn't reason to lie about her. I actually think her comment about Jesus needed AK's is a perfect representation of todays republican christians.
On the basis of my rule of thumb, it seems that Joe Biden taking showers with his daughter at an inappropriate age is too stupid to be true so I probably should not mention it.
