Too much winning indeed Steve. I see even your old buddy EE had words of wisdom for trump this morning...what do you think the odds are at Kalshi the president listens and acts accordingly?
I saw a meme on Facebook this morning that said: The House of Representatives have not worked enough days this year to qualify for Snap benefits. It brought a smile to my face; as it was FB, i did a Google search to verify. AI told me House members didn't qualify, they earned too much. I guess AI isn't big on humor or satire.
Finally, in the comments section i saw the discussion on Harris running for president in 2028. Without trying to be unkind, Kamala needs to find something better to fill her time than dreaming of the White House. Two efforts running women has resulted in two terms of the worst president in our history.
Sad to say, but this country isn't yet ready to elect a female president. I hate to say that, but at some point the reality has to set in. 2028 has to be about more than a great social experiment.
I hope the Democrats can come up with better options for 2028. I am praying for a blue wave because someone needs to actually check and balance an out of control, unstable president. What do you think about the chances that we could elect a male Jewish president?
I am extremely skeptical of modern polling. It has been said that too many polls “oversample” Democrats. Isn’t that a flawed poll. As far as the Texas polls and others, the alleged leads are so small they are either within the margin of error or damn close.
I disagree. If it was that easy for her, she'd have done it, and Governor of California is a great platform from which to run for president. I think the predictive values of the polls for 2028's presidential primaries is as solid as Jell-O right now, so it's all with a grain of salt. It's possible neither Harris nor Vance are the nominees. However, Democrats are must better positioned to crown a victor without primary voter support.
A Vance v Harris 2028 campaign will be the ultimate proof that the USA is on the backside of global leadership. Maybe that's what the Trump - Xi meeting will be about, laying the groundwork for a transition of power. Great thought to start the week.
If Harris runs in 2028, she'll be the Jeb! of the Democrats.

My personal opinion is 0% but I think Ossoff and his supporters would disagree.
I was thinking more about Pritzker or Shapiro, but I guess Ossoff would be another a chance too.

My understanding is the latest polls have him exceeding the margin of error.
I believe that's the gist of it. The email from Ted Cruz basically says that, which is why I began with it.
Steve some of those polling leads are less than 5%. Aren’t most polling margins of error between 2-3.5%?
Depends on the poll methodology.
If Harris had decided to run for governor she'd have cleared the field and would easily win.
I disagree. If it was that easy for her, she'd have done it, and Governor of California is a great platform from which to run for president. You discount that running for governor in 2026 would have precluded her running for POTUS in 2028, and she'd have had to have waited for 2032.
Seriously: she'd have cruised.
