Blocking major thoroughfares and disrupting normal day-to-day commerce is not peaceful. A work stoppage (which I hate) would be more peaceful and would bring business pressure on the politicians. Consumers might grow to hate the truckers when they can't get toilet paper, food and beer but they would increase the pressure for some kind of change. In Canada the preferred solution might be to nationalize the trucking industry. Like medical care and TV, delivery of goods would become a human right. Total socialism is right around the corner.

Ain't it crazy? The people who were decrying road blockage as a form of protest (even introducing legislation that would increase penalties for protesters on roadways and immunity for drivers who hit them) now whole heartedly support road blockage as a form of protest.

Well I gave you a shot and you didn't even last one blog without telling a bogus lie to paint a picture that doesn't exist. This is what you said:

"Canadians are generally a polite lot, prone to apologize rather than get in your face. When our northern neighbors take up their pitchforks, and most of their countrymen sympathize, maybe it’s time for governments to realize that it’s no longer 2020."

This is what the Dispatch said that you quoted:

"a recent survey from Canadian pollster Leger pegged the group’s net approval at -30 percent. But the group’s cause—at least with respect to restrictions—is much more popular. More than 4 in 10 respondents agreed that Trudeau “shares the blame” for the protests because of his “condescending attitude” toward Canadians, and 44 percent said that, even though they are vaccinated themselves, they “sympathize” with the truckers’ frustrations."

They downright hate the truckers with a negative 30% net approval. And even though you lied saying that MOST of their countrymen sympathized the actual number quoted right there is less than half. Not even 50% is most in your eyes I guess when your trying to paint a fantasy. In fact, in an Ispos poll they clocked the pro mandate at 70%. Now that is most. I just wish I knew whether you are stupid or you think we are and that we won't notice your bull.

If you’re going to throw the quote I used at me, use all of it. You missed this part.

“ In a recent Angus Reid Institute poll, 54 percent of Canadians say it’s time to end pandemic restrictions, up 14 percentage points from just a few weeks earlier.”

54% is “most.” And don’t forget to take your blood pressure med.

54 isn't most but its close enough to at least not be blatant. I remove my complaint and apologize.

Now with that said I need you to be honest with me. I read that paragraph like 8 times to make sure I had my numbers right as I have been known to misread things. Did you add that after my comment or did I really just miss that last sentence every time I read that paragraph? May need to go get my cat scanned.

I know Steve well enough to say he did not post add. I have trouble sometimes finding sentences when I know that they are there. I will leave my own cat unscanned :)
