Then impeach him. But even if it was, they won’t.

Your article admits it may be an Alito or other Forced_Pregnacy_ite staffer, in order to discipline any "Justice" who might waiver from Draft direct reversal of Roe decision. Either way, the leaker is helping to democratize SCOTUS so it less resembles the KGB.

"But in public, all Democrats must support abortion in any form, for any reason, at any point in gestation. There is no compromise on this."

This broad-brush statement about all Democrats supporting abortion at any point in gestation is patently false, regardless of whether that support is made public or kept private. Perhaps the media Steve consumes or the politicians he follows provides him with that perception however, Marist College conducted a poll in February 2019 in which respondents indicated a strong aversion to legislative efforts to allow late term abortions.

Per the report, "By a nearly three-to-one margin — 71 percent to 25 percent — respondents said abortion generally should be illegal during the third trimester of pregnancy.

About 66 percent of adults said abortion should be banned after 20 weeks except to save the life of the mother, while 18 percent said abortion should be allowed any time until birth. Five percent said abortion should be banned altogether. Further, 80 percent of respondents would like to see abortion limited to the first three months of pregnancy at most." The poll also showed a shift in the prolife direction from Democrats.

David Thornton, in his May 18, 2021, article presented a much more accurate and unbiased perspective when he wrote, "In September 2020, an NBC News/Survey Monkey poll found that 66 percent opposed overturning Roe compared with only 29 percent who wanted the ruling struck down. This poll is in line with longstanding data trends that show that Americans don’t want abortion outlawed but that they also don’t want it to be unrestricted. Most Americans favor legal abortion with some restrictions."

Furthermore, abortion has been a political carrot dangled in front of voters even though the number of abortions in the US has continued to decline since it peaked in 1980. CDC data indicates that the majority (92.7%) of abortions are obtained at <13 weeks gestation and less than 1% were obtained at >21 weeks gestation. Most Democrats don't like abortion, either, but as indicated above, "favor legal abortion with some restrictions.

Don’t tell me about polls. I agree it’s accurate. Find me a Democrat staffer, candidate or leader who publicly talks about those polls and uses moderating rhetoric about abortion. Show me someone at the state or national level who does that. Anyone.

In other election news it seems that telling your daughters to enjoy their rape is too far even for some republicans. Which kinda surprised me really, but a democrat won in a seriously red district here in Michigan because of that reason.

Oooooh, that comment was awful, but worse is the fact that his daughters put out tweets pleading for people not to vote for their dad.

Could be. I have seen proposed legislation (it might have been passed) that contained no exceptions for incest or rape. People who oppose those exceptions are condoning ruining the life of at least one somewhat mature and aware and innocent person. I believe abortion to be justified in such cases, but it's still a life taken and a tough call. Which life do we sacrifice?

There is no could be. Something doesn't remain a mystery just because you refuse to open your eyes to see it. And if republicans really considered life so utterly precious they would do something about the ones already here.

Perfect example of nut picking. The guy is a nut and should not ever win or serve in office. But most voters don’t care enough to remove or recall him once in office. Many don’t read the news to the level to even know he said that. I’d love to buy some billboards with that quote and see what happens. In any case other R’s all condemned him. Go after MTG or Gaetz they’re more damaging nuts.

He's probably a fool but to give him the benefit of a doubt, he may be saying he would rather have his daughter alive and pregnant than dead. He doesn't rule out abortion. His foolishness is the part about enjoyment.

Appropriate that "real SC story" is linked to Putin and his possible successor Tsar. SCOTUS is anti-democratic body.. Why should these lifers process be held in secret proceedings like the KGB? ..CUDOS to the leaker, even if they were a Forced Pregnancy-ite !!!
