Naked political ambition is political ambition unaccompanied by any moral or ethical principles. Does this really describe Warnock? Aren't you describing the entire GOP membership, exemplified by McConnell, Trump, Cruz and De Santis?

I believe Warnock is motivated by a moral vision, just one you can subscribe to.

At best the difference is Warnock masks his lack of principle whereas the GOP doesn't even bother with that anymore.

Let's Hope You're Right, Steve. Let's Hope That The Final Nail Has Been Driven Into Trump's Political Coffin. That Said, I Suspect That Donald Trump Will Not Be Entirely Done Until He's Put In Prison. That's Why, Now That The 2022 Political Races Are Over With, I Want The Criminal Indictments Of Donald Trump To Start To Be Issued. Let The Criminal Indictments Fly. The Conservative Base Of The Republican Party Will Have No Choice But To Move On From Donald Trump. They'll, Eventually ( Albeit Begrudgingly ), Gravitate Towards The Real, Authentic Conservative, In The Room, Ron DeSantis. Bring On DeSantis. DeSantis 2024.

Geoff Duncan probably could have accomplished more if he had thrown his hat into the ring against Walker in the primary. Whining about Trump and Walker accomplished nothing. Duncan would make a good Senator and probably could have defeated Walker and Warnock. I do not know if Duncan has decided to get out of politics or to become a career politician who viewed a senate race against Trump-endorsed Walker a risk to his long-term goals. That may be why Doug Collins or some other respected Republican with name recognition stayed out of the primary. It was obvious that Walker was the longest of long shots. Good grief.

My read on Duncan is he's a little too high on himself. His book (GOP 2.0) is about an inch deep on political truths, but heavy on sanctimony and baseball analogies. I think Duncan has principles and the courage to speak when others kept silent. But I'll take the steel spine and humility of Raffensperger all day long over Duncan's high-handedness. It's his approach that's the problem.

I voted for Raffensperger because I believe he does what he thinks is right, but he was wrong when he agreed to change election rules established by the legislature. I do not believe it changed the election outcome, but it certainly added fuel to the fire of controversy. The Secretary of State should be aware of the limits of his authority.
