10 bucks as a starting price is okay but I don't see dems going for much less than 15 and if they were to swallow E-verify they should hold the line on 15 bucks. I think that would be a good compromise.

Personally, I think $15 is way too high for a lot of markets. $10 is more reasonable.

States and cities could always increase it further and it would give Dem politicians a goal to keep coming back for.

I'm not from the coast, or a big city. I live in Macomb County Michigan, and there isn't anyway someone could live on 10 bucks an hour. I would much rather raise the minimum wage to something at least workable and then lower taxes on small businesses while making sure large corps actually pays them. I don't want to put anyone out of business but the government is basically subsidizing big business by not making businesses pay a wage that doesn't leave millions in need of government help.
