"Fauci said that data over the past few weeks confirmed 'this is a vaccine that works really, really well and we are seeing the results of substantial diminution in the number of cases. That triggered the decision by the CDC.'"

Other than us getting our economy and lives back, I think the big story here is the effectiveness of the mRNA approach (especially compared to the Chinese[1] and Russian[2] vaccines) might be one of the biggest science stories of this decade. It reminds me of how Elon Musk's new approach to space launches is basically upending the Monopoly game that we've played since the 1950s and replacing it with an entirely new scenario.[3] I expect that with COVID as its public unveiling, we're going to see A LOT of public advances come from this new branch of our technology tree.

Bright days ahead!

"Just do it!" OMG, if it were only that simple. In spite of all the proof, all the science and data collected we have a segment of our population who will never, NEVER, get vaccinated. How crazy is that?

We all want life back to normal. Yesterday was a great step in the right direction. As i watched i had the same questions David? How do we insure those who haven't been vaccinated won't freely walk among us without a mask. I guess the good news is, the likelihood will be they only will be killing each other.

The data shows people who have been vaccinated, even if infected, in most cases won't be hospitalized. In fact this morning i read an article stating most being hospitalized now are those who haven't been vaccinated.

I saw a news clip here in AZ the other night where a guy had dedicated his life to rescuing those lost and stranded in our desert and high country, died at the age of 66. His friends raved what a great guy he was and i suspect he was. That said, as he lay on his death bed, he said he had no regrets. Really, he was proud he elected not to get vaccinated and Covid19 took him in the blink of an eye.

How freaking dumb is that? Too each his own i guess, except we now know it just isn't your life you are putting in jeopardy but also those you come in contact with. Come on gang, if you haven't been vaccinated, get your shots. We all want normalcy, but until you do we can never quite get there.

I am waiting to see if my suspicion about the COVID vaccine and blood clots in women has anything to do with birth control pills and hormone replacement therapy aka Menopausal Hormone Therapy since both increase risk of blood clots
